How to compress videos on iPhone (save space without deleting)

If videos are consuming your storage but you don’t want to delete them, compression is often the best move. The trade-off is simple: smaller file size vs some quality reduction. CleanPro gives you clear presets and progress tracking so you can choose the right balance.

Step 1: Start with the biggest files

Use Large Videos to find the biggest storage hogs first. Compressing a few large files usually beats compressing many small ones.

Step 2: Compress with a preset (Low / Medium / High)

Open Media Compression, select your videos, and choose a preset. CleanPro shows estimated savings and tracks progress while exporting.

Step 3: Verify the result, then repeat

  • Review playback to confirm the quality is acceptable.
  • If quality is too low, try a higher preset next time.
  • If you don’t need the video, deleting is still the biggest win.

Optional: remove repeats instead of compressing

If you have repeated clips, run Duplicate Videos and keep only your preferred copy. Guide: delete duplicate videos.
